Acceptance of Terms

By attending, participating in, or purchasing tickets for any Halal Harmony Canada events, you agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Participation in any capacity, including but not limited to attendee, volunteer, or vendor, constitutes your acceptance of these terms.

Assumption of Risk

Your participation in any Halal Harmony Canada event is at your own risk. Halal Harmony Canada is not liable for any injuries, accidents, deaths, allergic reactions, or other health-related issues arising from your attendance or participation in our events. This includes but is not limited to reactions from food, beverages, or environmental factors and other attendees or vendors. Participants are responsible for informing Halal Harmony Canada of any specific allergies or medical conditions prior to attending.

Waiver of Legal Action

By participating in or attending any Halal Harmony Canada events, you and your family members, friends, or associates explicitly waive the right to bring any lawsuits, legal claims, or demands against Halal Harmony Canada. In the event that such a claim is initiated, Halal Harmony Canada reserves the right to counter-sue for damages deemed appropriate by the company, within the jurisdictional limits of small claims court in Ontario, which currently cap claims at $35,000. Claims exceeding this amount will be pursued in higher courts if necessary.

False Representation and Harassment

Any participant, attendee, or associated party who engages in harassment, makes false claims, leaves slanderous or defamatory reviews, or misrepresents events hosted by Halal Harmony Canada will be held liable. Halal Harmony Canada reserves the right to pursue legal action in small claims court for damages resulting from false representation, harassment, or defamatory actions, within the court's jurisdictional limits of $35,000.

Use of Likeness

By attending a Halal Harmony Canada event, you grant permission for Halal Harmony Canada to use photos, videos, or recordings of you for marketing, promotional, or advertising purposes without additional consent or compensation.

Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA)

Individuals may be required to sign an NDA for specific events or circumstances. Failure to comply with NDA terms will result in legal action. Damages will be pursued in accordance with the severity of the breach, up to the jurisdictional limit of $35,000 in small claims court or higher courts as applicable.

Event Content and Conduct

Halal Harmony Canada reserves the right to:

• Remove or deny access to attendees who violate event policies.

• Use footage or testimonials from events for future advertising without prior consent.

Participants are expected to behave in a manner consistent with the values of Halal Harmony Canada. Abusive, disruptive, or inappropriate behavior will result in immediate removal from the event and potential legal action.

Volunteers and Vendors

Volunteers and vendors participating in events agree to hold Halal Harmony Canada harmless for any damages, losses, or injuries incurred while participating.

Indemnification

By participating in a Halal Harmony Canada event, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Halal Harmony Canada, its staff, affiliates, and partners from any claims, damages, or losses incurred as a result of your participation, except where such claims arise due to gross negligence or willful misconduct on the part of Halal Harmony Canada.

Governing Law

These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes arising from these terms will be handled exclusively within the courts of Ontario.

Retroactive Application

These Terms of Service apply not only to current and future participants, attendees, Membership holders, volunteers, and vendors but also retroactively to any individuals who have attended, participated in, or contributed to Halal Harmony Canada events in the past. By continuing to engage with Halal Harmony Canada in any capacity, you acknowledge and accept the terms outlined herein.

Changes to Terms

Halal Harmony Canada reserves the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will be posted on our website and effective immediately upon publication.
